about

In 1977, a gold-plated audio-visual disc portraying the diversity of life and culture on Earth was sent to space. It was aboard the space probe Voyager 1, which still continues its mission in the interstellar space until 2025.
“We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours” - Jimmy Carter
What if we got an answer? And what if extraterrestrials had synesthesia and would send us an mysterious music video?
The title for this piece is also a reference to the excellent “Melodies From Mars”, a collection of unreleased tracks by Aphex Twin.
