Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo and Russian pianist Anton Batagov met through their mutual friendship with famed choreographer Bill T. Tayatha, a Buddhist term that means “it is like this,” marks a bold, post-minimalist foray into new music for Lhamo, whose work with Peter Gabriel’s Real World label has won her accolades from Rolling Stone, the New York Times and many more.
